    Verdict

Last year this girls only maiden went to the first past the post in the 1000 Guineas Jacqueline Quest and although there doesn't seem to be anything of her quality in this line-up it should throw up a few winners in the future. For the now the vote goes to standard setter HUMDRUM, who in the main has been progressive and wasn't that far held by a Group Three winner on debut. Malacca Straits has improved in two runs and is bred to show more again for a yard who do particularly well here while Distinguish looks the pick of the newcomers but Mark Johnston's juveniles haven't excelled this term. Humdrum gets the call, after all she is a Richard Hannon two-year-old.
