In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this hurdle and the principals appear to be Feel The Pride, Ela Re and Gabla and the confident vote goes to Feel The Pride. The filly won well on her hurdling debut at Stratford when defeating Conroy she is sure to improve and with conditions again in her favour she will be hard to beat. Ela Re rates the main danger she will find this easier than the race she was in last time when she finished sixth behind Showpiece and she is another that goes well on the ground. Gabla showed a modicum of ability on the flat in New Zeland. Of the remainder Sandy Bay needs more cut in the ground while Sparkling Water looks exposed.
