    Verdict

Perseverance is the name of the game with Spectrometer, whose jumping will not come under so much scrutiny in this company and he is fancied to have too much class for Mr Nemo and Untidy Daughter, who look to be the best of the rest. The last named has been kept busy on the Flat and has not fitness doubts about her today. However, the trip is a doubt for her and she is passed over today. Mr Nemo - a previous course and distance winner - is therefore expected to put up the most resistance. The Evan Williams-trained gelding has a fair amount of experience of fences and should go well for a long way. Nevertheless, Spectrometer could have his measure when it comes down to a turn of foot and, assuming that he can stay on his feet, this presents him with a cracking opportunity to boost his confidence.
