In depth

Verdict

Stratford winner JOHNS SPIRIT went close the last time he raced in novice company and after a couple of starts against much better opposition than this, Jonjo O'Neill's charge can return to winning ways. Rock Relief has some catching up to do but is going the right way having scored at Newcastle last month and he's preferred to bumper winner Abbey Garth. The latter has yet to sparkle over hurdles but has plenty of scope along with The Mad Robertson, who wears the same colours and made a promising hurdling debut over C&D recently.
