In depth

Verdict

The Kealshore Kid has won twice over fences but doesn't look particularly well handicapped over hurdles at present. Andorn was winning for the sixth time in seven starts on the Flat and over hurdles when scoring at Sedgefield last month, however, and was placed on the level at Nottingham subsequently while Meridiem got back to winning ways at Towcester last month, but has never won anywhere else. Long Distance ran a lot better at Uttoxeter last time and looks to be approaching peak fitness and he could be the main danger to POLLEN JOCK. Chris Bealby's seven-year-old has improved markedly since tackling a faster surface and had subsequent winner Sovereign Spirit behind when scoring at Fakenham last time - he can defy this 7lb higher mark.
