Cheerful Giver made a nice start on heavy going at the Curragh but was soon done with when attempting to make all at Tipperary. Today's quicker ground may help but Perfect Godess has looked ready for a step-up in trip on both starts to date and another furlong would help. CUSTOM CUT looks an interesting newcomer as he's out of a mare who won over 7f as a juvenile and is from a high-class family. He could be good enough to make a winning start though the filly Self Preservation is related to a host of winners in the USA and is one to keep an eye on.
