      Verdict

Richard Johnson took over the reins on QUIETO SOL (NAP) at Exeter last month and the latter duly opened his account over hurdles. Johnson keeps the winning partnership intact and Charlie Longsdon's charge remains unexposed. Malibu Sun was raised 7lb for a short-head defeat at Sandown and failed to complete his latest start at Ascot while Alberta found only one too good yet again when behind Dadsintrouble at Wincanton during the week. Charlie Cook ran well at Doncaster on his penultimate start but Brian Boranha still finished a long way behind the winner when runner-up over 2m here.
