In depth

Verdict

Lindseyfield Lodge can beat other previous winners Campli and Sashenka, with Guns Of Love to be noted in the market. Alan Swinbank continues to churn out the winners, and indeed Lindseyfield Lodge added to this season's haul when making a winning debut at Hexham last month. Although set to shoulder a penalty here, the son of Presenting can only improve, and can successfully give weight away to his opponents, the best of whom may well be Campli. Micky Hammond's charge also has a penalty for his Sedgefield victory in what may not have been much of a race, but at least he too lines up in confident mood, as does Sashenka who bolted up over the course-and-distance last month. That form has been let down already though, and she is opposed. Guns Of Love has the assistance of Richard Johnson, and this future chaser in the making should be noted if the market speaks in his favour. However, it is Lindseyfield Lodge that gets the vote in the finale.
