In depth

Verdict

Incorporation can defy topweight, with Karo de Vindecy, Knight's Emperor and Nabir put up as the ones to give him most to do. Incorporation looked very unlucky at Uttoxeter last month, flying at the finish and failing by just a short-head to overhaul Schinken Otto. That was a very commendable effort considering that he was racing off a 12lb higher mark than when successful at Cartmel the time before, and although that victory was on soft ground, he will have no problem with today's conditions. The return to this slightly longer trip is also a plus factor, and with Tom Messenger able to take 5lb off his back, the seven-year-old can gain compensation. Nabir was back in third at Uttoxeter, but is entitled to improve as that was his chasing bow, but even so he looks held by the selection. Karo de Vindecy has been struggling to get his head in front despite being placed on a few occasions and is worth opposing again, while Knight's Emperor lines up on the back of a third over hurdles in selling company. That sums up his chance, and he and the rest face a tough opponent in the shape of Incorporation.
