Verdict

Quetzal looked a progressive type with good runs at Chepstow and Kempton last year but didn't appear to enjoy softer conditions at Plumpton early last month. The Magic Bishop was well beaten at around this trip at Uttoxeter and Wetherby in the autumn and it was over the minimum distance that he bounced back to form at Newcastle. SILVER ROQUE, a winner on the Flat in France, has looked as though a longer trip was needed when placed over two miles on his last two starts and this should prove ideal. He gets the vote over Galley Slave, who doesn't look badly treated and ran quite well in similar company here last time.
