In depth

Verdict

Game On is consistent at this level and can gain his third success of the campaign at the expense of Lirta and Argento. This nine-year-old showed he could still win off his current mark when just pipped by Cosmocrat at Ludlow last month. He can handle this slight cut in the ground and over will have no problems with this slightly longer trip. Martin Pipe's Lirta looks the main danger to the selection. He has been contesting hurdle events over the last few months following some poor efforts over the larger obstacles. He is now looking on a very tempting mark and if Mr Pipe has improved his jumping he could be a threat to all. Argento has been in good form this season and put in another solid display at Doncaster last time when second to Palua and is strong candidate for some more place money. Black Bullet may prove best of the remainder, but Game on does looks set for another victory
