      Verdict

Five times in seven starts, Stargem has found one too good, including once over course and distance in a similar contest when odds on, and Jeff Pearce's filly looks worth taking on with Dragon Slayer, who is preferred to Gypsy Fair. The selection has done all his running on the Polytrack surfaces at Wolverhampton and Lingfield but there is no reason why Paul Blockley's colt should not handle the Fibresand and the son of Night Shift has been drawn in stall one which should help his cause further. There is little to choose between the selection and Gypsy Fair on form with David Barron's filly having run well over course and distance behind Orpen Wide last time. She has been done few favours with a draw in stall 10 though. Stablemate Pedlar Of Dreams makes her all-weather debut and the market may provide the best guide as to her chances. Pat Haslam's runners always warrant respect so Lightning Prospect is worthy of a mention along with Sir Mark Prescott's Safe Harbour but Dragon Slayer has plenty going for him and, if handling the surface, should take plenty of beating.
