Verdict

Hoke Colburn came good over fences at Huntingdon nine days ago. He carries a penalty for that success but his rider in this amateurs’ contest can claim the full 7lb. CERNUNNOS has tumbled down the weights since successful at Bangor just over a year ago. There were signs of life last time at Uttoxeter and jockey Noel George is a good man to have on your side in races like this. Heavenly Promise won twice in the spring but both times at Bangor, where he runs his best races. Abbeygrey and Irish Thistle are even harder to recommend.
