In depth

Verdict

Harringay, Glory Be and Purple Patch look the three main contenders in this mares hurdle with the vote going to the last named. She finally managed to break her maiden tack at Towcester last month when getting the better of Vertical Bloom by a neck and looks like she could be on the upgrade after some promising performances prior to her win. The step up in trip should suit as this is a much quicker track than she is used to and with Tony Dobbin booked she is fancied to score again. Harringay has some close form with the selection as she showed promise when second behind Vertical Bloom at Huntingdon last time out. She will have her supporters once again as will Glory Be who comes from an in form yard. She is the most unexposed with only two runs but was in the winners enclosure last time at Leicester. She will progress but still lacks experience so for the winner we return to Purple Patch.
