In depth

Verdict

EASTERN PARAMOUR and Foolish Cliche both won similar contests last time out, while among a plethora of debutants Victoria State may be worth considering. Eastern Paramour was a ready winner at Newbury on debut, and may go hurdling before too long. A repeat of that performance could well be good enough in this. Foolish Cliche won second time out, but that last run was back in May. There may be slight concerns about the ground here though, as she may prefer it on the faster side. Victoria State is a debutant for Donald McCain with AP on board, and if the money comes she could be worth following. A close eye on the market is essential given the number of newcomers and the others being lightly raced, but we'll side with winning experience and Eastern Paramour.
