Verdict

She's Our Native gets our vote in a competitive, handicap-chase with Lord Dundaniel and Toulouse also worth considering. The Evan Williams-trained mare was last seen when well behind in last months Royal And Sun Alliance Hurdle at the Festival. She had previously racked up a hat trick of wins over hurdles at this course and at Hereford defying the handicapper on each occasion. The eight-year-old is rated a whopping 28lb's higher over hurdles than she is over fences so she must stand an excellent chance at the weights with other more exposed horses giving her weight. Of these Toulouse represents the Robert Alner-yard. He is up five-pound for his recent course and distance win and he may struggle at the revised weights. There are also question marks about the form of the Alner-yard at present and others are preferred. One who could give She¿s Our Native a lot to do is Lord Dundaniel under AP McCoy. He had slipped to a winning mark and jumped his rivals ragged at Warwick in March. There is a chance that he can defy an eight-pound rise and his fast, accurate jumping could see him have a say in the outcome but we will side with She¿s Our Native.
