Verdict

With plenty of unexposed sorts lining up, this is not the best of betting mediums, but Bella Bambina may be good enough at the first time of asking, with Nafsika and the exposed You Never No other possibles. Bella Bambina, being a daughter of Turtle Island, will come into her own when the winter weather sets in, but she lines up here on the back of four uninspiring efforts on the Flat. On the plus side, her trainer Martin Pipe won this contest last year and will have schooled her well. Nafsika had more experience on the Flat than Bella Bambina, but this ex Bryan McMahon inmate is another who does not really catch the eye apart from the fact that she has moved to a top National-Hunt yard. Red Wizard won at Yarmouth as a two-year-old but appears to have deteriorated judged on latest efforts. Maybe the move to Jackdaws Castle will revitalise this half-brother to Concer Un. You Never No has had four starts over hurdles already, but has not shown enough to suggest that he is worth supporting against these newcomers, and in a tricky affair only a small interest is advised on Bella Bambina.
