In depth

Verdict

Babbling Stream has returned from a spell over fences and has run over trips too far on his recent starts so he can go well as can Bhutan, who was staying on nicely in a better race than this over 2m1f at Killarney. The latter's stablemate Monarch looked very progressive last summer and, though returning from a long break, is one to note in the market. Gordon Elliott hasn't really got going since his voluntary shut down but the four-year-old PARK PADDOCKS looks like becoming another major player for the yard. His victories in the spring at Cork and Punchestown elevated him to another level and, though up 9lb for his latest success in a huge field, he can complete a hat-trick. Presenting Mahler had been chasing before running well back over timber at Ballinrobe and is well enough treated to make his presence felt.
