Verdict

Very Live has his ground and was knocking on the door last month off this sort of mark. Paul Webber’s charge is also a course winner but he has failed to complete on the three previous occasions he’s been tried over this longer trip. VEAUCE DE SIVOLA was tailed off in this last year when Burgess Dream was a well-beaten runner-up. He has a pound more to carry but did win over the course and distance in March and there was nothing wrong with his comeback third behind Hedgeinator at Ludlow. For Carmel only found one too good when favourite at Fontwell earlier this month and looks a dour stayer but the handicapper appears to have reeled in Irish Octave and the going is also a worry. Carqalin had every chance when favourite at Market Rasen and is now 0-15 and it’s a long time since Kings Cross got his head in front. Itoldyou may be feeling his age.
