Rowan Pursuit caught the eye last time and is the pick ahead of Zafarshah, Temper Tantrum and La Viola. This selling contest should not take too much winning, and if Rowan Pursuit can repeat her latest run at Bath, then John Akehurst's filly should finally gain due reward for some good efforts at this level throughout the summer. She passed horse after horse last time before the line came too soon as she ended up second to Dane's Rock, but she would surely have won in another stride or two and back on the Polytrack again she can register her fourth course win. Zafarshah is also a course and distance winner here and will find this level a bit easier than of late, while Temper Tantrum has gone close on a number of occasions on Turf, notably at Brighton in July, and he too was successful over track and trip, in non-selling handicap company in March. Francis Norton knows how to get the best out of La Viola, and he will be alert to her tendency to down tools. He has been on board for both of her recent wins and she should not be discounted, but Rowan Pursuit is the selection.
