Apache Dawn gets the confident vote here with Shot To Fame and Samuel Charles rating the main dangers. The selection is well clear on official ratings, hails from a yard in form and with improvement likely in first time eye shield he looks the one to be on. Shot To Fame rates the main danger on his latest second behind Blue Empire but he has had plenty chances of late and is becoming hard to win with. Samuel Charles won well last time out when beating Victor Trumper but this looks much more competitive and he will need to improve again to score. Of the others, Majestical is another last time out winner but he has yet to win over this trip and with this in mind for the winner we are happy to return to Apache Dawn.
