L'Art Du Silence would be the one to beat if reproducing his earlier runs but he signed off last year with two stinkers and so Young Gladiator is given the nod ahead of Cheveton. The selection was second here at the track last time out when he bumped into a fair sort from Kevin Ryan's stable. Connections will be hoping to land this maiden before venturing into handicap company, and unlikely to face anything of Minus Fifteen's ability today, he is taken to oblige. Cheveton seemed to improve from first to second runs and deserves respect, as does L'Art Du Silence who tries the visor for the first time. Expect improvement from Nabeeda after just one start, whilst Hot Bertie could improve on his three starts to date, but he does seem to have regressed slightly. An open beginning, with Young Gladiator given the vote.
