In depth

Verdict

Umberto D'olivate completed a hat-trick early last year, all over much shorter trips, but has looked too high in the weights as a consequence. WILTON MILAN won a better race than this at Newbury a year ago and though he hasn't made the expected progress he's now just 4lb higher and this looks within his scope. Testing ground and a strong gallop are the requirements for Fourovakind, though an absence since April gives him plenty to do, and while Rocky Bender is on the same mark as when beating three rivals at Bangor in December he didn't improve subsequently. After completing a Fontwell double, Vikekhal couldn't handle the step up in class at Ascot and hasn't any form on soft ground.
