    Verdict

    Having shown some earlier promise, both Bognor and MOCACHA went backwards last time. But soft ground at Ayr looked a legitimate excuse for the latter's below par effort and he gets another chance with Richard Hughes taking over the reins. Baars Causeway is the most exposed but went very close on the Polytrack in August and should figure. Sweet P has shown little progress in three starts now and will need a bit more to get involved while Mr Wickfield is preferred to stablemate Charlies Mate and could prove best of the newcomers.
