Pyrrhic is given the vote in this truly dreadful contest with Esperance, Dolly Wotnot and Firebird Rising the trio we fear the most. The selection was an unlucky third behind Confuzed over this course and distance last time. He found trouble in running that day and with a little more luck here he should be capable of getting his head in front. Dolly Wotnot is consistent but she was a little disappointing on her only other try on the AW and she may just need this run after being off the track since June. Firebird Rising is often slowly away in her races so this step up in trip may help her. If she gets home on her first try at this trip then she could be interesting. Esperance finished in front of our selection last time but Pyrrhic had the beating of him before being squeezed for room on the rails, and we are quite happy to stick with Pyrrhic as our idea of the winner.
