Verdict

Blue Endeavour holds an outstanding chance here and is taken to get the better of Ressource. Given that the selection has some fair efforts to his name in a light career, it is disappointing to see him racing at this lowly level. Such a thing tempers complete confidence but, that said, he is rated 18 pounds clear of his nearest rival and, with Tony McCoy taking the ride, he is the one to beat. Ressource is second-highest in the ratings and has form enough from a mark of 90 from the summer to have to come into the equation if anywhere near his best. Of the others, Shalati Princess drops to this grade for the first time after having shown snippets of promise in just four runs, but Compton Star has already been beaten in this grade. Algymo has been tried over much further in his last two races and might fare better today, while the other pair have a bit to prove on what they have so far achieved, Stattin Island more so of the two. Once again, then, it is hard to get away from Blue Endeavour, who is taken to score.
