In depth

Verdict

With hardly any of these having shown any real form, we will side with See Me There ahead of Delaware Boy, Silkwood Top, Your Man and, possibly, Fordingbridge. The selection is just that because he has put in a couple of solid efforts from today's mark, including when fourth at Sandown last time behind Back Nine. That strikes us as as solid a piece of form as the field can offer and he should go well. Delaware Boy won from a four-pound lower mark at this track in December and can be considered on that basis, while Silkwood Top improved for the step up in trip last time and is entitled to do so again. Even off topweight, Yourman has enough form to be granted respect and Fordingbridge, for us, is one of the possible improvers stepping into handicap company for the first time. Of the others, Unusual Suspect won a poor Plumpton race last time, but he did at least improve for the step up in distance, Magnificent Seven ought to be capable of improvement, but Zimbabwe has now become disappointing. All of which spins us back to the selection, which is See Me There.
