Verdict

If any horse deserves to win another race it is Cargo and he gets the nod, with St Austell and Palawan put forward as the main rivals. The selection landed a couple of races in the Autumn and has been knocking on the door since. He landed the infamous void race here earlier this month when forcing his way out of the stalls fractionally early, before finishing a close second the the well backed Chatshow at Wolverhampton last week. He is obviously in good heart and should make a bold bid today. St Austell was made favourite for that void event following a terrific second behind Legal Set and he should figure in the finish. Meanwhile Palawan is from a yard still amongst the winners and his latest third behind Sir Ernest makes good reading and he could be each-way value. Baytown Flyer and Tayif also have the form to take a hand here and may do best of the others, but in a very open event Cargo is a sporting choice.
