Verdict

Division Two of the maiden looks as tricky to call as the opener, but we'll go with POKFULHAM to finally reach the winners' enclosure, chiefly at the expense of Bea Menace and Piccolo Mondo. Alan Jarvis' runner is well exposed, but from a high draw could try and make all with her good early pace. Soft going proved too much for her last time, but this surface could be more to her liking. Bea Menace has plenty of early as well, but didn¿t come on second time out following a pleasing debut. Again, soft ground may have been her down fall then. Piccolo Mondo tries this distance for the first time, but the step up looks the way forward. Narrowly beaten by a Sir Michael Stoute debutant last time, he certainly looks to be more than capable of winning this level of contest. Ian Wood won this contest last year with a big priced debutant, and he sends another newcomer out this time in Romancingthestone. Our selection, but with the usual caveat of check for any significant market support given the newcomers, is Pokfulham.
