In depth

Verdict

Seventh Cavalry is a fairly strong pick here, ahead of Power Player and Heart of Dubai. But keep an eye out for any market support for the newcomers, particularly Beauchamp Wonder from the Gerard Butler yard. Seventh Cavalry's two previous outings have been at a mile and a quarter, but Henry Cecil clearly feels he needs to step up in distance, particularly on a faster surface. Power Player's one of only three to have an official rating and looks like he'll prefer this trip to the mile and a six last time out when finishing last among more illustrious company at Newmarket. Heart of Dubai showed a nice turn of pace before fading last time out, but will have come on for that run. To lead the charge towards the payout counter though, we go for Seventh Cavalry.
