A sprint handicap confined to fillies to open the card and the speedy Overwing gets the vote to land it. Robert Cowell's filly made a pleasing return to the track after a break last week when leading for much of the journey over today's trip. Likely to strip much fitter today, she has a low draw which will enable her rider to grab a rail position and everything looks geared for a big run. Tilsworth Charlie drops back to the minimum trip after scoring last week at Goodwood. She beat a moderate bunch but is evidently a filly in fine form. Gap Princess is not as effective over five as six furlongs and that is the worry where she is concerned as she does her best work in the closing stages. Mistress Cooper improved gradually throughout the second half of last season in nurseries. It is quite a task for her taking on these experienced handicappers on her first start this season and the market will provide a guide to her chances. The Musson yard have been going through a quite spell in recent times. Overwing gets the vote to land the opener.
