Verdict

A tricky puzzle to solve as we almost certainly haven't yet seen the best of Wolverhampton winner Memories Galore. But another three-year-old, SUBVERSIVE, gets the nod as he's back on the same mark as when successful over course and distance in March and has been holding his form well on Turf lately. Last week's easy Carlisle winner Jubilee Brig is a rare runner here for Alan Swinbank and should make a bold bid to defy his penalty while Spellmaker was successful on his last visit here. Showtime Star showed a bit more at Chepstow nine days ago but is rated 6lb higher on the all-weather.
