In depth

Verdict

This looks to be a three-horse race, with 1,000 Guineas runner Presto Vento just preferred to fellow three-year-old Huja, and Entrap looking the clear pick of the older generation. Richard Hannon's filly was not disgraced in the classic, finishing ninth behind Russian Rhythm and this drop in class as well as distance may just be enough to see her back in the winner's enclosure. Sir Michael Stoute's Huja has plenty of scope and finished last season with a fair fourth to Soviet Song in the Fillies' Mile at Ascot. She could easily win this, although a line through the winner suggests she has a couple of pounds to find with Presto Vento. Entrap is lightly raced and progressed well last season, winning at Kempton and Yarmouth. She has gone well fresh in the past, so lack of a run should not be a problem, although she has in the past seemed better at six furlongs than seven.
