Verdict

Dawson Creek, Joy And Pain and Ever Cheerful are the trio for the shortlist and the vote is given to Dawson Creek. The selection is a course and distance winner and having not got home over 1m2f last time, he will be suited by the drop to this trip today. He finished behind Joy And Pain here a couple of runs ago, but on these terms he should be capable of reversing the form. Joy And Pain is a consistent type but he is high enough in the weights at present and he may have to go down a few pounds before he is able to regain the winning thread. Ever Cheerful disappointed last time, but that was over 6f and he should be suited by the return to this his optiimum trip. Wahoo Sam could go well if he is allowed an easy lead, while H Harrison is better than he has shown recently. An open race this, but Dawson Creek has plenty in his favour and he can go close.
