      Verdict

      Another competitive event. Sir Mark Prescott's runners at Lingfield always warrant respect and Coalition has scope for plenty of improvement. The same can be said of Gerard Butler and his Lockstock will appreciate the step back in trip. Plenty of others can be given chances, including the very consistent Cosi Fan Tutte, Party Ploy and Madiba (making his AW bow) and Livius, who has good claims if he can recapture the best of his form. An open event.
