A very open contest in which Mith Hill is the least exposed, and this recent winner gets the verdict ahead of Regal Gallery and Sewmore Character. Ed Dunlop's colt improved out of all recognition from his debut when comfortably landing a Beverley maiden. He clearly needed every yard of that 10 furlongs, and so should be even more at home over today's distance. Regal Gallery is a bit of a course specialist, having been successful three times here during last winter. He comes here after a bit of a break, no doubt getting ready for another cold weather campaign and he has to be feared despite a steadier of 9st 7lb's. Sewmore Character improved for the step up in trip last time when chasing home Platinum Pirate and if the extra couple of furlongs isn't a problem, he should figure in the finish. Many others can be given a chance on their best form, but Mith Hill is the most progressive and just edges the decision
