Being a half-sister to Ardkinglass, Ruse is entitled to improve with racing but she is difficult to recommend on all known form so far and a safer bet looks to be Bavarica, who is preferred to Sovereignty. The last mentioned has held his form well of late and has to be respected but Dean Ivory's gelding has yet to confirm his ability over a mile so he may be best watched. Apres Ski has shown improved form to win his last two starts but the handicapper has taken note and he now has more to do than when winning those races at Yarmouth. Missed A Beat is inconsistent and a better bet looks to be Bavarica, who has been relatively lightly raced of late and should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to a mile.
