Verdict

A moderate contest which will take little winning and although still a maiden, Fantastico still comes into the equation, as her stable is in good form, along with the likes of Regal Repose, Gaelic Roulette and Compton Eclaire, who will be wearing blinkers for the first time, and with that in mind the latter is a tentative selection. She does have an exposed look about her and this step up in trip along with the headgear, could well be the last throw of the dice for her. Regal Repose has at least proved she stays this trip and although she is of limited ability, she must go well, while Gaelic Roulette is also a possible as she has shown enough to suggest a small contest, such as this should come her way. Her run at Sandown, when beaten around four lengths by Toy Show, is comparable to anything any of her rivals have shown. However, Compton Eclaire, who is from the same family as Group 3 winner Anita's Prince, is taken to enhance her paddock value.
