Million Per Cent, Run for Ede's and Prince Charlemagne make the shortlist in a trappy opener where there is only a smattering of solid form to work on, with Million Per Cent a tentative selection. Run for Ed's ran the best race of her career when just touched off over this course and distance earlier in the year and shaped encouragingly last time, belying a big starting price to finish fifth in a handicap, beaten just four lengths. Dropped two pounds here this maiden can go well. Prince Charlemagne won here in good style last time but that looked a modest contest and it was his first win for a while. He is five pounds higher here and this drop back two furlongs in trip is unlikely to suit. Million Per Cent is thoroughly consistent but has steadily dropped down the weights, turning in another good run to be second in an apprentice event last time. That run was over today's trip, and with question marks over nearly all his opponents Million Per Cent is taken to score.
