ECLAIR DE BEAUFEU has been beaten a total of nine lengths in four starts over hurdles, all on much quicker ground than he'll face here. He looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark and had Envious Editor well beaten when a close third at Navan last time. At The Acorn went for a massive €150,000 at the sales after a very impressive victory between the flags at Rathcannon in April so is one to keep an eye on as is Poseidon, a winner on the Flat on soft ground at Salisbury in October. Drifting Back has a long absence to overcome after a promising bumper debut here in March but may prove best of the remainder.
