Verdict

Criminate showed a bit of potential last autumn and will have needed his recent reappearance after a long absence. IOLANI won a Downpatrick bumper in May before looking one-paced at Bellewstown and, though bred for the Flat, should have the pace and stamina for hurdling so gets the nod. The Brig didn't appear to last out this trip at Wexford when well beaten but the four-year-old bumper winner Mischievous Max made an encouraging start over timber at Sligo and has his weight-for-age allowance.
