Verdict

IMMEDIATE RESPONSE has returned from a long absence in superb form and is impossible to oppose. Willie Mullins' charge won over this trip at Clonmel and defied a mandatory penalty a week later over 2m6f at Thurles. He's been raised 10lb but the runner-up in that latest race, Owennacurra Milan, has scored twice subsequently and is now on a 20lb higher mark. Kaprun was in fine form at this time a year ago both on the Flat and over hurdles. He hasn't raced since June and might just need the run but In The Haven is fit enough and has dropped to a very enticing mark. Burma Rock has some decent form at this level but probably needs much quicker ground.
