In depth

Verdict

Ulusaba is the pick here over topweight Parsons Legacy and Ankles Back who will come on for the outing. With the Ferdy Murphy outfit in good order at present, Ulusaba will be a popular choice to add to his victory at Leicester where he jumped well in beating Bobsbest. He had been intensively schooled to get his confidence back and it showed as he was given a good ride by Keith Mercer who just seems to get better and better. the selection gets more than a stone from Parsons Legacy and that should sway things his way. The latter was successful over hurdles here last December and has been highly tried over fences, taking in the Lionel Vick Chase at Newbury last time. He was a fair third and will be suited by the step up in trip today, but the fact remains that he is still a novice. Henry Daly usually gets going at this time of the year but Ankles Back may need the run. For the winner we return to Ulusaba.
