The handicapper may have caught up with Edge Of The World judged on her latest third at Windsor but MUTABAAHY almost defied a penalty at Carlisle after scoring at Thirsk and races off a 2lb lower mark here. Antony Brittain’s gelding has made good progress this year and can get back in the winner’s enclosure. Recent Brighton scorer Swissal is the one penalised in this and Thirsk winner Daffy Jane was almost two lengths behind the selection at Ripon, though is 5lb better off and the booking of De Sousa suggests stable confidence that the form can be reversed. Mountain Peak looks best of the rest ahead of Haverland and Servilia.
