In depth

Verdict

Buster Hyvonen can take this on his handicap debut, with Charlie Kennet, Trouble Mountain and Doctored others to consider. The selection has been a bit fractious in the stalls, but settled well last time and was a ready winner over a mile on the polytrack. His style of running suggests that cut will suit, he is definitely improving, and he looks like this trip will be ideal, so we take him to score. Charlie Kennet carries a penalty for a Windsor success over this trip last time. He is tough, and will get every yard here, so if there is any problem with the selection's stamina, then he can capitalise. Trouble Mountain is back at his best trip and acts with cut, so he must enter calculations despite still being a bit high in the handicap, while Doctored is similarly treated, and although more than useful at this trip and in this company, the ground is not ideal. But Buster Hyvonen is on the upgrade and can take this.
