      Verdict

Dimboola can defy topweight at the expense of Voodoo Moon and Dolly Coughdrop, with Tom Paris worth a mention at least. Those at the head of the handicap normally pay to follow in nurseries at this time of the year, and Dimboola has solid enough claims on the strength of some fair efforts so far. The Barry Hills inmate justified his short price when opening his account at Ripon in June, and since then has run well in defeat in both the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot, and at Chester where he was slowly away. He has the class to give weight away round, and probably has most to fear from Voodoo Moon. The latter is set to shoulder a 6lb penalty for her win at Ayr on Tuesday, but if suitably recovered, Mark Johnston's filly can improve enough to take a hand in the finish. Dolly Coughdrop has been placed on each of her last two starts but has more to do, as does Tom Paris, although both will pay their way as the season progresses. On this occasion though, it is best to stick with Dimboola.
