John Gosden appears to have an inexhaustive supply of potentially decent three-year-olds and EAGLE TOP is another. It took a while for the penny to drop on his debut at Newbury but he quickened nicely to win comfortably in the end and, though the handicapper has taken no chances, can find the necessary to double his tally here. Montaly looks the danger after coming off the pace to beat Arantes over a shorter trip here at the start of the month as Tizlove Regardless has done all of his winning on Polytrack. Fun Mac is worth a second look, however, as he progressed well in his first season culminating in a victory at Haydock in October. He makes more appeal than Kempton runner-up Castle Combe and the quirky El Najmm.
