Verdict

Several newcomers catch the eye on breeding in this and Johnny Be Goode showed promise on his debut at Beverley, despite meeting trouble in-running. His trainer, Richard Fahey, also runs the £45,000 colt Vimy Ridge, however, and jockey bookings suggest he's the stable's first choice. Grazed Knees is a half-brother to a juvenile winner and cost £38,000 while Majestic Hero was an expensive purchase for Ron Harris and has a sprinter's pedigree, but Kool Kompany is likely to need further that this. ALPHA SPIRIT is a sister to a 6f winner and half-sister to another. Her dam was very speedy so Mick Channon's filly is taken to make a winning start.
