Verdict

THE GROOVE won a better race than this at Salisbury under today's rider then just failed to concede Topmeup 11lb in heavy ground at Ffos Las so can get back to winning ways. Intimately, who has won here, will love the conditions and has only been raised 2lb for his victory at Brighton but Coverham, who had been placed in his six previous starts, didn't perform as well at Kempton last time. Champagne Bob, who has been running in slightly better company, has also won on the track and has to be on the shortlist but East Coast Lady has been running better on the all-weather.
