Verdict

Grandhill will be suited by this stiffer track, having been unsuited by the sharp track at Wolverhamton, although he does have a little to find if he is to trouble the judge. Convent Girl may have been flattered by her run at Salisbury, while newcomer Admiral Fitzroy, a half-brother to three minor winners in the USA, would not have to be anything special to take a hand in this. However, his stable companion Lodge Keeper looks the one to be with, after turning in a promising effort, over an inadequate trip here on his debut. This half-brother to a 12-furlong winner in France, will be happier over this 7-furlongs and he can make his experience tell. Blue Mariner, from the same family as the useful Rich Charlie, is another to note if the market speaks in his favour.
